HIV Vaccines Trial Network (HVTN)

A program of the National Institutes of Health

AIDS Research Alliance has participated in every major HIV vaccine trial conducted in the United States.  We are currently conducting a clinical trial of a promising vaccine candidate for the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN), funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  The NIH is the largest funder of vaccine research in the world. 

AIDS Research Alliance is the only HVTN site in Southern California, and only the third site west of the Mississippi River.  Our collaborators include Judith Currier, MD, PhD, and her colleagues at the UCLA CARE Center.
