We the people, in order to form a more healthy union, have the power to stop AIDS.

Every minute, 10 people become infected with HIV.  5 people die of AIDS each minute of every day.  Only medical research can stop these numbers from spiraling.

AIDS Research Alliance searches for ways to stop new HIV infections and find a cure to AIDS. We conduct research on a larger, more diverse variety of AIDS treatments than any other community-based organization.

2. Participate in a research study

If you’re HIV Negative

• In the U.S., sexual contact accounts for 53% of new HIV infections. Microbicides could be an important HIV prevention tool. ARA is one of the few places in the country working to develop a rectal microbicide, and is looking for volunteers to join this study.

If you’re HIV Positive

• Join a study investigating the effects of pomegranate juice on the improvement in quality of life of people living with HIV.



• You might qualify to participate in a therapeutic vaccine study.

 

3. Volunteer your time.

Whether you have a few hours each week or can help on special projects, volunteering lets you turn your actions into a powerful response to the AIDS crisis.
